4. 시편 121:6을 비교하라. so that I forget--또는 "내가 잊었다"는 뜻으로, 고통 가운데서 그렇다는 말이다(시편 107:18). 그래서 힘이 쇠한다.

시편 102:1-28. 고난당한 자의 기도 등--이 일반적 표현은 이 시를 교회의 복지를 경건하게 염려하는 다윗의 후손 누구에게나 적절히 적용할 수 있음을 보여 주는 듯하다. 아마 다윗의 작품이며, 어떤 특별한 시련에서 직접 촉발되었지만 장래의 때를 묘사한다. Overwhelmed--시편 61:2와 비교하라. Poureth out--영혼을 쏟아 놓는 것이다(시편 62:8). Complaint--시편 55:2를 보라. 불평의 어조가 우세하지만, 하나님의 약속과 변함없는 신실하심을 볼 때 때로는 확신과 소망의 어조로 바뀐다. 1-3. 사용된 표현들은 시편 4:1; 17:1, 6; 18:6; 31:2, 10; 37:20에 나온다.
