그의 높은 곳에 화평--그분의 높은 곳에서의 권능은 모든 반대를 잠잠하게 할 만큼 크며, 그곳뿐 아니라 땅에서도 그러함을 암시한다. 성령께서는 여기서 복음 진리들을 예표하셨다(골로새서 1:20; 에베소서 1:10).

5. '달까지도 보라'(욥기 15:15). 여기의 '별들'은 거기의 '성도들', 곧 천사들에 대응하고, 여기의 '달'은 거기의 '하늘들'에 대응한다. 사람의 눈에 가장 눈부신 대상인 별들과, 별들이 상징하는 천사들(욥기 4:18; 요한계시록 9:1)조차 그분 앞에서는 불완전하다. 그들의 빛과 순결은 피조물의 것이지만, 그분의 것은 창조주의 것이다.

"Stars" here answer to "saints" (angels) there; "the moon" here to "the heavens" there. Even the "stars," the most dazzling object to man's eye, and the angels, of which the stars are emblems
(Job 4:18; Re 9:1),
are imperfect in His sight. Theirs is the light and purity but of creatures; His of the Creator.
