場景 1 요한복음 3:1-2

Nicodemus Came at Night

A Jewish leader named Nicodemus came to Jesus at night.

He thought Jesus was a teacher sent from God, and he wanted to hear his words.

That night, Jesus spoke to Nicodemus about becoming new.

場景 2 요한복음 3:3-8

Being Made New

Jesus said that a person must be made new to see God's kingdom.

Nicodemus did not understand those words easily.

Jesus taught that being made new by the Spirit is like the wind.

We cannot see the wind, but we know it moves. God can make a person new.

Nicodemus still asked how such a thing could be possible.

Jesus Spoke of Heavenly Things

Nicodemus asked how such things could happen.

Jesus said that if earthly things are hard to believe, heavenly things must be heard even more deeply.

Because Jesus came from God, he can tell us about heavenly things.

Jesus used an old wilderness story Nicodemus knew to show the way of life.

The Lifted Bronze Serpent and the Son of Man

Jesus spoke about the time when Moses lifted up the bronze serpent in the wilderness.

Then God showed the people a way to live.

Jesus said that he too would be lifted up to give life to people.

These words lead to how much God loves the world.

God Loved the World

God loved the world so much that he sent his only Son.

This love gives eternal life to those who believe in Jesus, so they will not perish.

God did not send Jesus to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

But before the light of that love, people's hearts are revealed in different ways.

Coming Into the Light

Jesus said that the light has come into the world.

Some people love darkness more, but those who follow the truth come into the light.

A life that walks in the light without hiding before God shows what God has done.

After these words in the night, the story returns to John witnessing by the water.

Baptism Continued by the River

After this, Jesus and his disciples went into the Judean countryside, and people gathered near the water.

John was also baptizing nearby.

People spoke to John about more people going to Jesus and asked him about it.

John heard the question and said he rejoiced that Jesus was being revealed.

場景 8 요한복음 3:27-30

John Rejoiced and Stepped Back

John said that a person can receive only what God gives.

Like a friend of the bridegroom rejoicing with the bridegroom, John rejoiced that Jesus was being revealed.

John said that Jesus must become greater, and he himself must become less.

John now witnessed even more clearly that Jesus came from above.

The One From Above and Life

John witnessed that the one who comes from above is above all.

God loves the Son and has placed everything in his hands.

John clearly tells us that the one who believes in Jesus has eternal life.

Leaving the way of life is not a small thing, but God calls us to life.

John chapter 3 ends by telling us that life is in Jesus. In the next chapter, Jesus meets a Samaritan woman.
