대기

Berdasarkan semua yang sudah saya jelaskan sebelumnya tentang berbagai cara Allah berbaik hati kepada kita, maka sudah sepantasnya kita membalas kebaikan hati-Nya itu! Janganlah lagi kamu mengikuti cara hidup berdosa yang sudah menjadi kebiasaan orang-orang duniawi. Tetapi hendaklah kamu mengambil keputusan seperti ini, “Ya TUHAN, aku mempersembahkan tubuhku sebagai kurban bagi-Mu!”— walaupun sebenarnya kamu masih hidup. Keputusan itu merupakan persembahan yang suci dan menyenangkan hati TUHAN. Dia akan memperbarui pikiranmu masing-masing, sehingga kamu bisa mengetahui apa kehendak-Nya bagimu dan apa yang terbaik dalam setiap keadaan. Kamu semua akan dimampukan untuk mengerti dan memilih apa yang baik, yang paling tepat, dan yang menyenangkan hati TUHAN.

Jadi Saudara-saudari, sebagai rasul Allah yang Dia pilih hanya karena kebaikan hati-Nya, saya menasihatkan kepada kalian masing-masing: Janganlah menganggap dirimu lebih penting daripada yang sebenarnya. Tetapi berpikirlah secara bijaksana, jujur, dan rendah hati, sesuai keyakinanmu tentang kemampuan khusus yang diberikan Tuhan kepadamu.

Karena setiap orang yang bersatu dengan Kristus merupakan anggota tubuh Kristus. Dan tubuh Kristus bisa digambarkan seperti tubuh manusia: Satu tubuh mempunyai banyak anggota, dan setiap anggota mempunyai tugasnya sendiri-sendiri. Begitu jugalah dengan kita. Biarpun banyak, kita masing-masing adalah anggota dari satu tubuh, yaitu tubuh Kristus. Jadi, kita semua berkaitan satu sama lain.

Dan setiap orang diberi kemampuan rohani yang berbeda-beda menurut kebaikan hati Allah kepada kita masing-masing. Kalau kamu sudah diberi kemampuan untuk bernubuat, sampaikanlah setiap nubuatan sesuai dengan apa yang kamu yakini.

Kalau kamu sudah diberi kemampuan untuk melayani, hendaklah kamu melayani. Kalau kamu diberi kemampuan untuk mengajar, hendaklah kamu mengajar.

Kalau kamu diberi kemampuan untuk menghibur orang lain, hiburlah orang lain. Atau kalau kamu diberi kemampuan untuk menolong orang, tolonglah orang lain dengan murah hati. Kalau kamu diberi kemampuan untuk menjadi pemimpin, pimpinlah orang lain dengan sepenuh hati. Dan kalau kamu diberi kemampuan untuk berbelas kasihan, maka berbelas kasihanlah kepada orang lain dengan senang hati.
