In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. And the earth was waste and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep: and the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. Gen 1:1-2

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

The First Day: Light Separated from Darkness

And the earth was waste and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep: and the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

And God said, Let the waters under the heavens be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.

And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days and years:
