Go, and I Will Make You a Blessing

God told Abram to leave his land and go to the land God would show him.

God promised to make Abram a great nation and a blessing.

The way God opened was a blessing for all the families of the earth.

Abram listened to God's word and truly set out.

Setting Out by God's Word

Abram went as God had spoken.

Sarai and Lot went with him, and they traveled toward Canaan.

Faith walks because God knows the way.

At last Abram entered the land of Canaan that God had spoken about.

I Will Give This Land to Your Offspring

Abram came to Shechem in the land of Canaan.

God said, "I will give this land to your offspring."

Abram built an altar to God after hearing the promise.

From there Abram moved again and stayed between Bethel and Ai.

Abram pitched his tent between Bethel and Ai.

There he built an altar and called on the name of the Lord.

Abram's journey was also a path of learning worship.

Then a severe famine came to the land, and Abram went down to Egypt.

When famine came to the land, Abram went down toward Egypt.

As Egypt came closer, fear grew in Abram's heart.

Even a person who received God's promise can stumble when afraid.

In Egypt, Sarai was taken into Pharaoh's house, but God did not leave the matter alone.
