Scene 1 창세기 3:1-5

The Serpent's Whisper

The serpent, the most cunning of all, came to the woman and asked if God had really said not to eat the fruit.

The woman answered that only the fruit of the tree in the middle must not be eaten or even touched.

Then the serpent tricked her, saying she would not die but would become like God. The serpent made her doubt God's good heart.

What would the woman do after hearing the serpent?

Scene 2 창세기 3:6-7

They Ate and Felt Ashamed

The woman saw that the fruit looked good to eat. So she took some and ate it, and gave some to the man with her, and he ate too.

Then their eyes were opened, and they knew they were naked, and they felt ashamed.

They sewed leaves together to cover themselves. Breaking God's promise made their hearts heavy.

That evening, they heard the sound of God walking in the garden.

Scene 3 창세기 3:8-10

Hiding from God

As the evening breeze blew, they heard the sound of God walking in the garden.

The man and woman were afraid, so they hid among the trees.

God called to the man, "Where are you?" God always seeks the one who hides.

God asked them what had happened.

Scene 4 창세기 3:11-13

Pointing the Blame

God asked whether they had really eaten the fruit he told them not to eat.

The man blamed the woman, and the woman blamed the serpent.

When we do wrong, it is better to be honest than to make excuses. God already knew everything.

Even so, in the sadness, God gave a wonderful promise.

Scene 5 창세기 3:14-19

The First Promise of Hope

God rebuked the serpent that had tricked the people.

And he gave a wonderful promise: one day a child of the woman would come and defeat the serpent, that is, evil.

Because of the wrong, hard work and sadness came into the world, but from the very start God promised a way of rescue. Long after, this promise came true in Jesus.

God did not leave them alone; he cared for them tenderly.

Scene 6 창세기 3:20-24

God Made Clothes for Them

The man named his wife Eve, which means "life," because she would be the mother of all people.

God made clothes of skin for them and dressed them. He still cared for them even after they did wrong.

They had to leave the garden of Eden, but God's promise and love went with them. God loves us to the very end.
