Scena 1 창세기 4:1-2

Two Brothers, Cain and Abel

Adam and Eve had two sons. The older was Cain, and the younger was Abel.

Cain became a farmer who grew crops, and Abel became a shepherd who cared for sheep.

The two brothers grew up, each doing different work.

One day, the two brothers brought offerings to God.

Scena 2 창세기 4:3-5

The Two Offerings

Cain brought crops from the ground, and Abel brought the very best from his flock.

God was pleased with Abel's offering, given gladly and with care.

But Cain's offering was not the same. God looks at our hearts before our gifts. Cain became very angry, and his face fell.

God spoke kindly to the angry Cain.

Scena 3 창세기 4:6-7

God's Kind Warning

God asked Cain why he was so angry and why his face had fallen.

God said kindly that if he did what was right, he would be glad again.

And God warned him: anger and hatred were crouching at the door, but he could overcome and master them. God told him this because he loved him.

But Cain did not listen to that kind warning.

Scena 4 창세기 4:8-10

A Very Sad Thing Happened

Cain did not master his anger. Out in the field, he took the life of his brother Abel.

God asked Cain, "Where is your brother Abel?"

Cain said he did not know, trying to hide it. But God knew everything. Life is more precious than anything, and God treasures it.

What would God do with Cain now?

Scena 5 창세기 4:11-16

God Still Protected Him

Because of what he had done, Cain had to leave his land and wander far away.

Cain said the burden was too heavy to bear, and he was afraid someone might harm him.

So God put a mark of protection on Cain, so that no one would harm him. God shows mercy even to those who have done wrong.

As time passed, God gave a new hope.

Scena 6 창세기 4:25-26

A New Hope Begins

After some time, Adam and Eve had another son. His name was Seth.

Seth also had a son, and the family continued on.

From then on, people began to call on God's name in prayer. Even after sadness, God gives new hope.

The story of God's promise continues next time.
