Bible Art Gallery — a dedicated visual resources site
A dedicated gallery is now open, where you can browse public-domain biblical art — Doré’s engravings, Tissot’s watercolours, Bible maps — by collection, book or theme. From any work you can jump straight into its Bible passage, read the whole Bible through pictures with “In Bible order” from Genesis to Revelation, or follow Tissot’s series in narrative order with “Life of Christ.” Maps can be viewed enlarged, and every item shows its source and license. 32 Doré engravings, 16 Tissot watercolours and 3 Bible maps are published so far, with more to come.

Expanded multilingual support — English, Japanese, Chinese (Simplified/Traditional) UI
In addition to Korean, the introduction and service guide pages (Bible reading, commentaries, theology resources, 1260 QT, English Bible, copywork, support, church platform, and more) have been organized in English, Japanese, and Chinese (Simplified/Traditional). Switching the language at the top right shows menus and page descriptions in that language. Bible book names (e.g., 요한복음 → John) are also shown in English on the English screen. Multilingual translation of body content such as the Bible text and commentaries is still in progress.

Content Added
Children's Bible Story — John chapter 12 added

Content Added
Children's Bible Story — John chapter 11 added

Lazarus's illness and death, Martha's confession, Jesus's tears, "I am the resurrection and the life," and "Lazarus, come out" are organized into scene-by-scene, dialogue-style text that focuses on comfort and life rather than fear, at an elementary-school level.
Content Added
Children's Bible Story — John chapter 10 added
John chapter 10 was added as a children's story in 8 scenes. The gate for the sheep, the good shepherd, "My sheep listen to my voice," and "I and the Father are one" are organized into gentle picture-book scenes and dialogue-style text.
Content Added
Children's Bible Story — John chapter 9 added
John chapter 9 was added as a children's story in 8 scenes. Jesus seeks out a man blind from birth, his eyes are opened at Siloam, and he confesses "Lord, I believe" — organized by scene, dialogue, and imagery at an elementary-school level.
Content Added
Children's Bible Story — Genesis chapter 2, two-trees scene enhanced
A separate "two trees in the middle of the garden" scene was added to the Genesis chapter 2 children's story. The tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil were set apart into their own scene, so the abundance of Eden and the path of trusting God's word connect more clearly.
Content Fixed
Children's Bible Story — Genesis chapter 6, ark illustration consistency improved
The scene order for the Genesis chapter 6 ark was realigned to flow naturally from the early frame to a nearly finished ark. The ark is shown as a three-deck structure, the door is placed on the first deck, and the sizes of the figures and animals in front of the door were adjusted to look more natural.
Content Fixed
Children's Bible Story — Genesis chapter 7, ark-door scene enhanced
The scene in Genesis chapter 7 where the rain begins was reset with the ark door closed. The illustration and scene guidelines were organized so that God's protection is clearer once Noah's family and the animals are inside the ark.
Content Added
Children's Bible Story — Genesis chapter 11 added
Genesis chapter 11 was added as a children's story in 6 scenes. The city and tower of Babel, baked bricks and tar, and the confusion of language and scattering are handled not as scenes of fear but as the heart's problem of trying to make a name for oneself without God, connecting through to the beginning of Abram's family.
Content Added
Children's Bible Story — Genesis chapter 10 added
Genesis chapter 10 was added as a children's story in 6 scenes. This genealogy chapter — in which the descendants of Noah's three sons spread into many families and nations — is organized around the idea that God remembers the history of the whole earth, without modern political maps or racialized depictions.
Content Added
Children's Bible Story — Genesis chapter 9 added
Genesis chapter 9 was added as a children's story in 6 scenes. The blessing given to Noah's family in the new land, the covenant made with all living things, the sign of the rainbow among the clouds, and the grace of God that Noah's family still needed are organized at a children's level.
Content Added
Children's Bible Story — Genesis chapter 8 added
Genesis chapter 8 was added as a children's story in 6 scenes. It captures how God remembers the life inside the ark, the waters recede, and a new beginning is prepared through the dove's olive leaf and worship outside the ark.

Scripture Memorization — relaunched as a standalone service site
Scripture Memorization was reopened as its own standalone service screen, like Bible reading and Bible typing practice. You choose a verse and hide the text step by step (show all → hide part → first-letter hint → hide all) to recite it yourself, and you see recommended verse packs, today's review verses, and your records all on one screen.
Platform Added
Recall scoring — type a memorized verse and get an accuracy score
After hiding the text, type it from memory and it is compared with the original and scored for accuracy. Case and punctuation are ignored and it matches word by word, so you can immediately see where you need more practice.
Platform Added
Spaced repetition — we gather today's verses to review
So you can recall a verse just as you are about to forget it, the hub screen gathers "today's verses to review." The more accurately you memorize, the longer the interval until the next review grows, helping it stay in memory longer.
Platform Added
Memorization courses, verse packs, and progress
We prepared topical verse packs such as salvation, comfort, promise, and faith, along with a full course and a children's course that you follow from start to finish. As you follow a course, you can check how much you have memorized through progress, streaks (consecutive days), and scores, and you can save verses to memorize in your own collection.
Content Added
Children's Bible Story — John chapter 7 added
John chapter 7 was added as a story in 8 scenes that elementary-school children can read easily. The questions and murmuring surrounding Jesus at the temple during the Feast of Tabernacles, and the invitation of living water — "let anyone who is thirsty come to me" — can be followed through scenes, dialogue, and commentary.
Content Added
Children's Bible Story — John chapter 8 added
John chapter 8 was added as a children's story in 8 scenes. "I am the light of the world," "the truth will set you free," and "before Abraham was born, I am" can be read along a flow of a new path, light, and true freedom rather than condemnation.

Copywork & typing ranking page — rankings by period and your rank
We opened a new ranking page where you can see Bible copywork and Bible typing-practice rankings on one page. Check rankings for today, weekly, monthly, and all time, and when logged in your own rank is shown too. Copywork is ranked by the number of verses written accurately and typing practice by speed (WPM), keeping the character of each practice intact.
Platform Added
Real-time character feedback for Bible copywork
While you write along with the text on the Bible copywork screen, you can now check character by character whether what you typed matches the text. Wrong characters are shown immediately, so you know what to revisit even before saving.
Content Added
Multilingual support for Bible passage subheadings (KO/EN/ZH/JA)
We translated 3,116 passage subheadings across all 66 books of the Bible into English, Japanese, and Chinese. When reading the English, Japanese, or Chinese versions, subheadings appear in that language, while the Korean version keeps the existing Korean subheadings. This also applies to passage (subheading) selection in Bible reading, copywork, and typing practice.

Bible platform consulting — web inquiry form introduced
We added an inquiry form so you can send a Bible platform consulting request directly from the site without opening a mail app. Your inquiry is securely received and forwarded to the person in charge, who will reply to the email you provided.

QT/Bible reading, phase 1 — 1260 QT and Today's QT available
We finished the first phase of the QT/Bible reading menu. You can first use the 1260 QT, which meditates through the whole Bible over 1,260 days, and Today's QT based on the current date.
Platform Changed
"Coming soon" labels on QT/Bible reading menus in preparation
Among the QT/Bible reading submenus, the progress chart, meditation/sharing, and reading records are still in preparation, so they show a "Coming soon" label. You can still click the menus to look around in advance.
v0.14.0 · 2026-06-08
Content Fixed
Original-language view "original order" now shows the actual word meaning
In the "original order" of the Bible reading original-language view, we corrected each original word to show its actual dictionary meaning instead of the translation word matched by version alignment. For example, in John 1:1, Ἐν shows "in/at" and ἀρχῇ shows "beginning/start" — the original word's own meaning.
Platform Fixed
Select original words one at a time precisely in the original-language popup
We fixed the "original order" in the original-language popup so that selecting one original word shows that single word's part of speech, headword, meaning, and definition. Previously it showed grouped alignment info bundling several words, so pressing a different word did not change the content.
Platform Fixed
Toggling "by translation / original order" for original words under a verse
We fixed the original-word row beneath a verse so that switching between "by translation" and "original order" actually takes effect. Previously the two displays (original-word meaning and translation word) overlapped and were shown together.
Content Improved
Grouped "by translation" display for original words under a verse
When viewing original words beneath a verse "by translation," several original words corresponding to a single translation word are grouped into one cell (e.g., Ἐν ἀρχῇ → "In the beginning"). This was unified to match the "by translation" view in the original-language popup.
Platform Improved
Original-language view mode sync and click selection
We unified the original-language view mode (by translation / original order) so that the inline text and the popup share a single setting. Also, when you click a specific original word beneath a verse, the popup opens in the same mode with that word already selected.
Platform Updated
Unified original-language view button names
We unified the original-language view toggle button names to "By translation / Original order" (Korean, English, Japanese, Chinese).
Content Added
Commentaries shown by source in the verse resources popup
In the "Commentaries" tab of the Bible reading verse resources popup, commentaries for the verse are grouped into tabs by source (e.g., Matthew Henry, Jamieson-Fausset-Brown). Previously the commentaries tab failed to show any items.
Platform Improved
Improved commentary loading speed and source-name display
When opening commentaries, only the active source is loaded first and other sources load when you click their tab (lazy loading), speeding up the initial load. We also show short names instead of long formal titles on source tabs, with the full name appearing on hover.
Content Added
Bible notes shown in the verse resources popup
In the "Bible notes" tab of the Bible reading verse resources popup, the verse text and its Bible notes are shown together with formatting applied. Previously the Bible notes tab showed only a notice.
Platform Improved
Improved state distinction of original-word chips under a verse
The original-word chips beneath a verse are now shown in three states. Original words used in the translation are highlighted in blue, words with no direct counterpart in the translation are mid-gray, and auxiliary words such as the definite article are shown with a light-gray dashed line, so importance is clear at a glance. Previously auxiliary words were highlighted most strongly in yellow, inverting the hierarchy.
v0.13.0 · 2026-06-08
Content Improved
Original-language to Korean Revised re-alignment, phase 2
We re-aligned the original-language to Korean Revised alignment data across all books for a second time, and significantly improved how original words are displayed so that articles, supplementary words, and repeated phrases connect more naturally in both the "by translation" and "original order" views.
Platform Improved
Removed roadmap-data bottleneck on guide pages
We removed the structure that assembled all roadmap-progress data when opening general guide pages such as site introduction, usage flow, and changelog. By generating only the detailed data for the requested page, response time for general guide pages improved from several seconds to around 0.3–0.6 seconds.
Platform Updated
About menu, phase 1 completed
We completed a first pass on the About menu's site-guide and creator-content areas. We separated the flow that leads through site introduction, the creator's message, columns, Bible notes, and lecture-notes guide pages, so the character of each page is clearer.
Platform Fixed
Aligned Bible-note display font sizes
We fixed an issue where saved verse notes and notes below the title appeared smaller in the Bible reading screen than while editing. In display mode, note paragraphs, lists, tables, and quotes now render by the same standard as the body font-size setting.
v0.9.0 · 2026-06-07
Content Added
Organized 3,116 passage subheadings across all 66 Bible books
We organized subheading data that shows the flow of passages above the Bible text.
Content Added
Added parallel verses related to subheadings
We broadened the basis so you can also see parallel verses linked to passage subheadings.
Content Added
Matthew Henry commentary: full New Testament + Pentateuch & historical books translated into Korean
We translated Matthew Henry's commentary into Korean for the entire New Testament and the Old Testament's Pentateuch and historical books, and linked it so it can be viewed alongside the text on the Bible reading screen. This is major progress in gradually expanding the public-domain historical commentaries available.
Content Added
Began introducing the Jamieson-Fausset-Brown commentary
We began introducing an additional commentary so that several historical commentaries can be compared together.
Content Added
Jamieson-Fausset-Brown commentary fully translated into Korean for all books
We fully translated the Jamieson-Fausset-Brown (JFB) commentary into Korean across all 66 books from Genesis to Revelation. We rendered all 19,831 units of chapter introductions and verse-range comments without omission, so you can view JFB commentary in Korean alongside any text during Bible reading. We also organized the English Bible abbreviations in the text into Korean abbreviations.
Content Added
Published the scripture.how Bible dictionary with 3,962 entries
We linked the Bible-glossary to the text and organized it so it can be looked up together with the original-language dictionary.
Content Added
Prepared the KJV English Bible study flow
Based on the KJV text, we prepared a study flow that lets you carry on reading the English Bible through direct reading-and-rendering and chunk reading.
Content Added
KJV English Bible study — added study material for 7 books, Joshua to 2 Kings
Based on the KJV 1769, we added English Bible study material for 7 books: Joshua, Judges, Ruth, 1–2 Samuel, and 1–2 Kings. For each verse, alongside a direct reading-and-rendering draft, we provide study chunks that break the verse into natural reading units with grammar, vocabulary, and memorization hints. Study material is linked to all 4,401 verses of the 7 books, so following the earlier books you can keep studying the flow of the historical books through direct reading-and-rendering.
Platform Improved
Children's Bible Story production status linked
So the dedicated service home no longer looks like a fixed John-only screen, it now shows per-book progress and a list of published chapters based on the same registered-content as the roadmap's production status. When new scene content is registered, the dedicated home's production status and story list update along with it.
Platform Improved
Improved mobile margins and Hero layout on the Bible reading screen
We adjusted the layout so the left and right margins of the text do not spread too wide on smartphones, foldable screens, and tablet-like medium widths. The Hero area now lets you see a representative verse in compact form on mobile too, and we trimmed unnecessary information so the Bible text and scene image appear first.
Platform Updated
Expanded the scope of the KO/ZH/JA/EN UI language packs
We organized fixed phrases that remained throughout the screen — such as Bible book names, statistics descriptions, original-language alignment options, comment and Q&A popups, reading-screen design settings, and the Bible-glossary highlight button — to display by language. We broadened the scope so that when you change the language, the UI around the Bible text changes naturally as well.
Platform Added
Expanded the site-design selection structure for Bible reading
We broadened the structure so the Bible reading screen can be offered as distinct site designs rather than mere color themes. With the current design as No. 1, we laid the groundwork to run it like a standalone site by adding designs with different text layouts and first-screen feel, such as magazine, side-panel, and meditation styles.
Platform Updated
Linked the Bible reading Hero with story scenes
On the first screen of Bible reading, we arranged it so you can see, together, the Bible-story scene image linked to that chapter and a representative verse. Since a chapter may have several scenes, we considered scene switching and small navigation indicators, and made room to place an entry point to the Story Bible and introductions to other related services.
Platform Updated
Organized Hero image asset standards for Bible stories
We reorganized the PC and mobile ratios so Bible-story scene images can be used reliably in the Bible reading Hero too. We strengthened the production standards so that hero images suited to large and mobile screens, high-resolution derivatives, and square and portrait images all connect naturally from the same source scene.
Platform Updated
Organized the 1260 QT flow
Based on the fixed 1,260-day reading plan, we organized today's verse, the starting point, and the flow that connects to Bible reading. The direction is that the QT screen looks like a standalone service while the actual meditation text connects to the Bible reading screen, so you can also check original-language, commentary, and Bible-note resources together.
Platform Added
Linked Bible typing practice
To create a flow of slowly holding onto the word by typing it again, we prepared an entry point to Bible typing practice. This work lets you read the text in Bible reading and move naturally to learning features that repeat the word, like QT or copywork.
Platform Added
Launched the Scripture Memorization service
We opened a Scripture Memorization screen where you can choose a verse and check your memorization by hiding the text step by step. Guests can practice, and logged-in users can save records of completed memorization and verses needing review to their personal history.
Platform Improved
Improved commentary table of contents and mobile usability
We refined the table-of-contents flow for navigating commentaries by book, chapter, and source, and their usability on small screens. We also organized the flow of opening and closing the resource panel during Bible reading, closing popups by clicking outside, and keeping buttons and panels from overlapping on small screens.
Platform Improved
Organized the commentary panel structure in Bible reading
Within the commentary panel, only book/chapter-level commentary and commentary directly linked to a verse or verse-range are shown distinctly, while additional material to be found via the search index was separated into its own module below. When the original commentary has no per-verse title, we fill the display title with the first key phrase of the text so it does not look empty, and we added a keyboard icon next to the text title that opens only that passage in Bible typing practice.
Platform Fixed
Corrected original-word alignment cards and repeated-phrase matching
In the original-language popup, when several original words are linked to one Korean phrase, we fixed the cards and detail area to show the original spelling and pronunciation together. We also corrected an issue where alignment results generated in original-word order were wrongly attached to later repeated phrases in verses with repeated words, so that "In the beginning" and the first "the Word" in John 1:1 connect more precisely to their Greek original.
Platform Improved
Improved the editing flow for Bible-story scene images
We strengthened an editing flow that crops and saves Hero, square, and portrait images from a source image, so Bible-story scene images can be used at various screen ratios. By reflecting changes on screen immediately after saving, scene-image review and correction work can be done faster.
Platform Updated
Expanded open Bible versions and source guidance
We organized the Bible versions that can be made public and strengthened the guidance so you can check each version's source and terms of use.
Platform Updated
Strengthened source and license guidance for materials
We placed in a separate guide the principles to check when using external materials such as Bible versions, original-language data, dictionary data, and commentaries.
Platform Added
Prepared the basis for Bible viewer statistics and verse numbering
We prepared the basis for providing reading-aid information such as overall Bible progress, per-book/per-chapter information, and verse numbering.
Platform Updated
Small usability improvements on the reading screen
We continue to refine the small parts you actually feel while reading, such as the resource panel, collapsed states, and the mobile screen.
No changelog has been published yet.

Guide

A guide page for understanding the site

Rather than a specific feature screen, this page explains the direction and usage context of scripture.how. It is built so first-time visitors can quickly grasp what they can do in each menu.

Bible-reading centered
Material source management
Meditation & recording features expanding

Principle

A change history is both a record of how much has been built and evidence that it keeps being refined

Rather than the fact that a feature was built, we record what users can newly read, which materials can be used and on what basis, and what inconveniences were fixed. We keep even small fixes because this system is not a one-time promotional piece but a Bible platform that keeps accumulating.
