Ps 43:1-5.
Excepting the recurrence of the refrain, there is no good reason to suppose this a part of the preceding, though the scope is the same. It has always been placed separate.

3절. “빛”은 시편 27:1에서처럼 쓰였다. “진리” 또는 “신실하심”은 시편 25:5와 같이 약속을 성취하심으로 그것을 드러내신다는 뜻이다. 빛과 진리는 그를 예배의 특권 있는 곳으로 이끌 사자들로 의인화된다. “장막들”은 여러 뜰을 암시하여 복수형으로 쓰였다.

manifest it by fulfilling promises. Light and truth are personified as messengers who will bring him to the privileged place of worship.

시편 43:1-5. 후렴이 반복되는 점을 제외하면, 이 시를 앞 시편의 일부로 볼 충분한 이유는 없다. 범위는 같지만, 항상 별개의 시로 배치되어 왔다. 1절. “판단하소서”는 “변호하소서”라는 뜻이다(시편 10:18). “변호하소서” 등은 시편 35:1과 비교하라. “경건하지 아니한”은 성품이나 상태 어느 면에서도 하나님의 은총의 대상이 아닌 자들을 뜻한다(시편 4:3과 비교).
