주의 만찬은 무엇입니까?

주의 만찬은 예수 그리스도께서 제정하신 신약의 규례입니다. 그 안에서 그리스도의 정하심에 따라 떡과 포도주를 주고받음으로 그분의 죽음이 나타나며, 합당하게 받는 사람들은 육체적이고 물질적인 방식이 아니라 믿음으로 그분의 몸과 피와 그 모든 유익에 참여하여 영적인 양식과 은혜의 성장을 얻습니다.

What is the Lord's Supper?

The Lord's Supper is an ordinance of the New Testament, instituted by Jesus Christ, wherein by giving and receiving bread and wine, according to His appointment, His death is showed forth, and the worthy receivers are, not after a corporeal and carnal manner, but by faith, made partakers of His body and blood, with all His benefits, to their spiritual nourishment, and growth in grace.

What is required to the worthy receiving of the Lord's Supper?

It is required of them that would worthily, that is, suitably, partake of the Lord's Supper, that they examine themselves, of their knowledge to discern the Lord's body; of their faith to feed upon Him; of their repentance, love, and new obedience, lest, coming unworthily, they eat and drink judgment to themselves.

What does the conclusion of the Lord's Prayer teach us?

The conclusion of the Lord's Prayer, which is, "For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever, Amen," teaches us to take our encouragement in prayer from God only, and in our prayers to praise Him, ascribing kingdom, power, and glory to Him. And in testimony of our desire, and assurance to be heard, we say, AMEN.
