scripture.how brings together the tools for reading a single passage deeply. While you read, you can open the original Hebrew or Greek right where you are, and follow cross-references, commentaries, artwork and word studies without leaving the page. Most of it works without an account, and everything is free.
What is here today
- Bible text — 67 translations in 47 languages, including 8 Korean versions.
- Original languages — Hebrew and Greek aligned to the Korean text word by word, with 19,580 Strong's lexicon entries.
- Cross-references — 341,279 links between passages.
- Commentaries — 30 works. Jamieson-Fausset-Brown and Matthew Henry are fully translated into Korean; Barnes, Clarke and others are still in progress (English originals are available now).
- Bible dictionary — 3,962 entries, opening straight from a word in the text.
- Theology library — 100 documents: creeds, catechisms, systematic theology, encyclopedias.
- Visual library — over 7,000 paintings, engravings, illustrations, maps and charts, linked to the passages they depict.
- Devotion and reading plans — the full 1,260-day devotional and the M'Cheyne one-year plan.
- Practice — Scripture copywork, typing practice, memorisation, and KJV 1769 English Bible study.
- Illustrated Bible for children — 69 chapters, 515 scenes (still being produced).

If you sign in
Your personal Bible notes and highlights, reading charts, devotion and reading-plan progress, copywork, typing and memorisation records are all saved. You can also record the Bible in your own voice and listen back to it.
Made by one person
This site is built by a single person, so there is still a great deal left to fill in. Of the 30 commentaries only two are fully translated into Korean and the rest are still being translated, and the illustrated Bible for children is still being drawn. Every step forward is published in the changelog. Why it is being made is written in a word from the maker.
The site may be unreachable now and then
For now the site runs on a development server, so that fixes can be made and shipped straight away. That means it may briefly go offline or slow down while work is in progress. As more people use it, it will move to a dedicated production server. If the site does not open, please try again a little later — and thank you for bearing with it.
