니케아 신경

한

나는 한 분 하나님, 전능하신 아버지, 하늘과 땅과 보이는 것과 보이지 않는 모든 것을 지으신 분을 믿습니다.

영

I believe in one God, the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and of all things visible and invisible.

한

또한 한 분 주 예수 그리스도, 하나님의 독생자, 만세 전에 아버지께로부터 나신 분, 빛에서 나신 빛이요 참 하나님에게서 나신 참 하나님이시며, 지음받지 않고 나셨고 아버지와 본질이 동일하시며, 그분으로 말미암아 만물이 지어진 분을 믿습니다.

And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only-begotten Son of God, begotten of the Father before all worlds; Light of Light, very God of very God, begotten, not made, being of one substance with the Father; by whom all things were made;

그분은 우리 사람들을 위하여 또 우리의 구원을 위하여 하늘에서 내려오시어, 성령으로 동정녀 마리아에게서 육신을 입으시고 사람이 되셨습니다.

who, for us men and for our salvation, came down from heaven, and was incarnate by the Holy Ghost of the Virgin Mary, and was made man;

또한 본디오 빌라도 아래에서 우리를 위하여 십자가에 못 박히시고, 고난을 받으시고 장사되셨으며,

and was crucified also for us under Pontius Pilate; he suffered and was buried;

한

사흘 만에 성경대로 다시 살아나시고,

영

and the third day he rose again, according to the Scriptures;

한

하늘에 오르시어 아버지의 오른편에 앉아 계시며,

영

and ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of the Father;

7

한

영광 중에 다시 오시어 산 자와 죽은 자를 심판하실 것이니, 그분의 나라는 끝이 없을 것입니다.

영

and he shall come again, with glory, to judge both the quick and the dead; whose kingdom shall have no end.

한

또한 나는 성령을 믿으니, 주님이시요 생명을 주시는 분이시며, 아버지와 아들에게서 나오시고, 아버지와 아들과 함께 경배와 영광을 받으시며, 예언자들을 통하여 말씀하신 분이십니다.

And I believe in the Holy Ghost, the Lord and Giver of life, who proceedeth from the Father and the Son; who with the Father and the Son together is worshipped and glorified; who spake by the Prophets.

또한 나는 하나의 거룩한 보편적이고 사도적인 교회를 믿으며,

And I believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church;

한

죄를 사하는 하나의 세례를 인정하고,

영

I acknowledge one baptism for the remission of sins;

한

죽은 자의 부활과 오는 세상의 생명을 바랍니다. 아멘.

영

and I look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen.
